Frequently asked questions about road transport
- What is the maximum weight I can move within Europe?
- That depends on the destination country. On average it is around 24,500 kilos in a standard 13.6 metre trailer, which holds 33 euro pallets or 26 block pallets at a loading height of 2.6 to 2.8 metres.
- How many loading metres does a pallet take up?
- A euro pallet is 0.4 loading metres as standard, a block pallet 0.5. That makes the space your shipment needs easy to work out: ten euro pallets is four loading metres.
- What does a transport cost?
- The rate depends on the number of pallets or loading metres, the collection address, the delivery address, the type of transport and the delivery deadline. Request a quote and you have a price within 60 minutes.
- How long before my shipment arrives?
- That depends on the type of shipment, the destination and the agreed deadline. For urgent freight we drive straight from collection to delivery; in groupage your shipment follows a fixed route with several addresses.
- When do customs formalities apply?
- For every country outside the EU: the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and a number of countries in Eastern Europe. We arrange the customs formalities and the accompanying documents for you.
- Can private individuals become customers?
- We focus on the business market. Transport for a private individual is possible, ask about the conditions.
